Water Ring Vacuum Pumps offer a cost effective vacuum system where there is access to a good quality water supply. The Water Ring Pump requires no oil as it uses the water as both the internal lubricant and coolant. Water Ring Pumps work by the formation of a water-ring around the impellor to create a seal. As water is thrown to the periphery a centre void is created in the vacuum chamber.
Skellerup provides Water Ring Vacuum Pumps in both close-coupled and bare-shafted drive formats delivering from 750 to 4000 litres per minute of free air at 50 kPa (15”Hg).
