Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps are the most common vacuum pump used in the dairy industry. The Rotary Vane Pump works by rotating sliding vanes, trapping air between the vanes compressing it against the housing and then discharging the air. As air is ejected from the system, a vacuum is created. Oil forms the seal between the vane and the pump cylinder.
Skellerup Rotary Vane Pumps are manufactured in variety of sizes from 200 litres to 3,000 litres of free air per minute at 50 kPa (15” Hg) and a range of lubrication systems dependent on the final application.
