Diaphragm Milk Pumps are particularly suited to lower milk flow rates or smaller installations. An added advantage is that this type of pump is not adversely affected by froth or foam in the milking system. Diaphragm Pumps are known for the gentle manner in which they handle milk.
The Diaphragm Pump is a positive displacement pump and works by a diagram moving left and right alternating between vacuum and pressure. A series of simple stainless steel valves on the inlet and outlet ensures product can flow in one direction only.
